Since the COVID-19 pandemic reached our shores, our way of life changed dramatically. Suddenly, we had to wear masks everywhere and began working from home instead of in the office.

There is no doubt that many lives are still affected by COVID-19 and the protocols that go along with fighting the virus. One of the biggest changes to our society is the way we clean.

Yes, we all used to clean before the year 2020. But now our cleaning standards are even more rigorous. Want to know about hygiene in 2021?

If so, keep reading this informative article.

The Workplace

How Cleaning Standards Have Change in the COVID Era

The first place that Covid affects in terms of post-pandemic cleaning is our workplaces. That is because multiple people filter it out without knowing whether they have the virus or not.

To prevent workplace illness, many companies began hiring cleaning service providers like Prestige Janitorial Services. These professionals come in once or twice a day and disinfect your premises.

While many people make it a habit to wipe down surfaces, nothing compares to a professional who comes equipped with the proper disinfectants. Along with that, businesses invest in state-of-the-art HVAC systems.

Experts say we can inhale the virus. However, with an HVAC system circulating air throughout the building, that risk may lower over time.

The Home

Aside from the office, we have taken the importance of cleaning up a notch in our homes. Many of us have 70% Isopropyl, which we use to spray surfaces and even our hands.

Many make it a habit to wipe down kitchen counters and other areas that family members frequently use. Some even still wipe down groceries when they come into the house to prevent the spread of Covid-19 from outside surfaces.

Where We Travel

Traveling also requires a bit of cleaning. As you move through the airport, you may notice that staff members wipe surfaces down every so often.

Along with this, we have gotten into the routine of wiping down anything we touch. This includes public seating or armrests on the airplane. No matter where we go, we are now overly conscious of touching publicly used areas.

Our Everyday Lives

Covid-19 has altered our everyday lives. Whether we realize it or not, we are now used to using hand sanitizer whenever we touch something outside of our homes.

We also know that you must wash your hands for about 20 seconds to clean off Covid-19 and other viruses off your skin. Wherever we go, we make a cleaning strategy and plan and pack up our sanitizing essentials in case we need to disinfect.

Cleaning Standards Have Improved Tenfold

There are several ways that our cleaning standards have changed since the coronavirus was first identified. Post-pandemic cleaning has seen a lot of new disinfectant sprays. Not only that, but cleaning services and HVAC systems are in high demand to ensure that office spaces remain healthy environments.
